Similar to priming a wall before you paint it, you can also prime your face before applying foundation. Primers are still quite new concept in the makeup industry.

They actually work almost the same as a moisturizer under your foundation. They are used to easing the application of foundation and are meant to create a barrier between foundation and skin.

It has been said that they’ll even out skin tone, help your makeup stay on longer and absorb oil with salicylic acid.

Elastin is a protein connective tissue which is elastic and also allows the tissue in our body to resume their shape after stretching or contracting.

Besides, elastin helps to restore our skin to its original state when it is poked or pinched.

However, when we begin to age, the elastic fibre will slowly degenerate and fragment. Unfortunately, when this happens, lines and wrinkles begin to show on your face. The process of elastin degenerating cannot be avoided as it is part of our natural aging process.
