One great advantage in assessing the potential dangers of facial plastic surgery is the fact that fewer and fewer of these procedures actually require the use of general anesthesia. In the United States in 2004 only eighteen percent of the cosmetic procedures performed were actual surgeries thanks to the availability of alternative, non-surgical methods.
